ASYLUM LAKE MAGAZINE

Asylum Lake Magazine was a non-profit Kalamazoo based literary and visual arts zine from 2010-2013. I was one of the founders. There were ten, 60-80 page, issues of the zine that I created with the help of several different editors (volunteers) that contributed to each issue (I was the only person to contribute to all ten). I was in charge of all visual content for the magazine: compilation of content, some photography, page layout, design, printing, and assembly. Also, I helped lead meetings, plan events for release parties, and create promo pieces. After being awarded a Xerox DocuColor 252 Digital Laser Printer, in 2011, I got a studio at the Park Trades Center and opened up Asylum Lake Press.

TRIBALNET MAGAZINE

TribalNet Magazine is a bi-annual publication that is a great resource to stay informed on the latest topics impacting technology and leadership as they relate to Indian Country. I have worked on this magazine for four years. I have worked in various design roles designing “internal” ads for the in-house organizations, as well as designing the articles, covers and overall design/page layout. We usually do a printed and digital version. I set up the digital Flipbooks and can add video advertisements, pop-ups, links, and more. I also work directly with printers.
